Contract Awarded for the Expansion Project of Kisumu International Airport
On 9 February 2022, Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) awarded the Rehabilitation, Upgrade and Expansion Project of Kisumu International Airport to CJIC.
The Project construction works comprise Enhancement of the Arrivals and Departure Lounges, Grade Parking and Construction of a Mezzanine Floor and Passenger Walkways at the Kisumu International Airport, the contract period of which is 90 days.
The annual capacity of Kisumu International Airport will be doubled from 250,000 passengers to 500,000 passengers upon the completion of this Project.
